As per FSSAI Notification No. RCD-02001/9/2021-Regulatory-FSSAI, dated 2nd May 2022, it is mandatory for all Central Licensed Manufacturers/Processors operating under High-Risk Food Categories to undergo annual food safety audits conducted by an FSSAI-recognized auditing agency.
Furthermore, Third-Party Audits for manufacturers/processors holding State Licenses under high-risk categories may also be mandated by the respective Commissioners of Food Safety across States and Union Territories.
